The power of typography and layout design is often overlooked for legibility. In this exercise, I redesigned the discontinued typographic publication typographic publication Codex: The Journal of Typography and fitted it with a new logo, brand identity, and layout system to better reflect its narrative goal. I was inspired by the word "journey," or the journey to get to the end is as important as the main article itself. I incorporated elements of handwritten notes, commentary, and footnotes to reflect how interwoven context is to our understanding.
